If the condition does not improve even after performing Action 1 - 3, contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
Action1: Repeatedly turn X-rays ON and OFF for a number of times.
Action2: Perform aging.

When an X-ray alarm occurs, an error code is displayed in the [X-ray Status] window.
The X-ray alarm indicates that the protection circuit was activated to stop X-ray irradiation due to the following problems.
The X-ray alarm may occur after opening the X-ray generator to the atmosphere or after a long period of use.
• Tube current overflow: An electrical discharge or other cause results in excessive current flowing through the internals of the X-ray generator.
• Tube voltage overshoot: An electrical discharge or other cause results in excessive voltage being applied to the internals of the X-ray generator.
• Inverter current overflow: Excessive current flows through the control PCB of the X-ray generator.
• Inverter voltage overshoot: Excessive voltage is applied to the control PCB of the X-ray generator.
• Overheat: The X-ray generator is excessively heated.
NOTE: Since these problems are only temporary, irradiation can be resumed by turning the X-ray ON again. However, if an alarm occurs frequently, perform the corrective action described on the previous page.
