Answer

WARNING: Be sure to power off the entire system before performing any operation.
Do not work while the power is on. Failure to do so may result in electric shock or injury.

Cause1: Dust enter the sliding surface.
Countermeasures1: Clean the column. If this does not work, please contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
Click here for "(EHF) Maintaining the EHF-Series".

Cause2: There is a significant imbalance in the part to be raised and lowered. (Include test jigs and specimens)
Countermeasures2: The center of gravity of the lifting part and the center axis of the loading frame must coincide. Avoid unbalance. Alternatively, install the test jig after the lifting is completed.

Cause3: There is a scratch on the column
Countermeasures3: Stop the operation and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
The column and crossheads may need to be replaced.
