Answer

Cause1: Deposits have become attached to the slot in the burner head.
Corrective Action1: Wash the burner head. Click here for Burner Maintenance
 
Cause2: The volume of gas remaining in the dissolved acetylene cylinder is low.
Corrective Action2: Replace the cylinder with a new one.
