This system emits X-rays by irradiating a target with a focused electron beam.
The tungsten can melt and vaporize, caused a rough target surface, which can cause lower dose levels and image blurring. In such cases, rotate the target. The recommended target rotation frequency depends on factors such as the tube voltage, tube current, and focus used. The following are general guidelines for the rotation frequency, based on the target X-ray irradiation time.
• 225 kV 100 μA: Rotate every 8 hours, • 200 kV 100 μA: Rotate every 15 hours, • 150 kV 100 μA: Rotate every 40 hours
1. Open the collision sensor window and insert the M3 wrench into the target base hole.
2. Turn the target base counterclockwise about 5 degrees.
The target is turned as well.
