(SMX-6010) Status Code

(SMX-6010) Status Code
Category :

Answer

There is a status LED on the right side of the system that displays a three-digit number (Status Code).
The status code can display a blinking code, which indicates an error state, in addition to the solidly indicated 000 and 001 codes. If several different statuses occurred at the same time, up to 4 statuses can by cyclically displayed, starting from the code with the largest number. No more than four statuses are displayed.
If any of the following events occur, contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
• The system does not return to its operable state
• A status other than normal state (000) appears frequently
• Troubleshooting for the corresponding status is unclear

000: Operation is normal.

001: The operation status is normal, but the turbo molecular pump is operating on high load.
This status may be displayed when the system is powered on.
→If this status is displayed for several days, consider an overhaul of the turbo molecular pump and the diaphragm pump.

100: Indicates that X-ray turned OFF because communication with PC was interrupted during X-ray emission.
→Check for looseness in PC and control ASSY communication cable connectors.

101: An instrument error occurred.

102, 103, 104: Indicates that X-ray turned OFF because the front door and/or the maintenance door were/was opened during X-ray emission.
→Check that the door mounting screws are securely tightened.

105: Indicates that X-ray turned OFF because vacuum loss occurred during X-ray emission.
→Generate X-rays when there is a sufficiently low degree of vacuum (at or below approximately 10).

106, 107: An instrument error occurred.

108: This status indicates that X-ray emission was turned OFF due to a problem with the turbo molecular pump.
→Check for looseness in the turbo molecular pump cable connector.

110: Indicates excessive current of high-voltage inverter, or internal FET temperature that exceeds allowable temperature.
111: Indicates excessive voltage of high-voltage inverter.
112: Indicates tube voltage that is higher than the allowable voltage.
113: Indicates tube current that is higher than the allowable current.
119: Indicates that X-ray control CPU was reset during X-ray emission, due to discharge noise or power supply interruption.
→This may occur due to discharge of X-ray tube.
Perform aging. Click here for "(SMX-6010) Performing Aging".
If this error occurs frequently, consider an overhaul.
In addition, these errors may be displayed when aging is performed, even if operation is normal.
If operation is normal, the error display will be automatically cleared.

200: Indicates that communication with PC was interrupted.
 →Start the CT software.

201: An instrument error occurred.

202, 203, 204: Indicates that the front door and/or maintenance door is/are open.
 →Close the doors.
Also check that the door mounting screws are securely tightened.

205: Indicates a poor degree of vacuum that prevents X-ray emission.
→Wait until the degree of vacuum is at or below approximately 40.

206, 207: An instrument error occurred.

208: This status indicates that the turbo molecular pump has not reached the specified rotation speed.
→Wait for a while after turning on the power.
If the display does not disappear after 10 minutes, a vacuum leak in the X-ray generator, or a failure of the diaphragm pump or TMP may occur.

331: An instrument error occurred.

342: Indicates that the filament is broken. Check when X-ray is OFF.
 →Replace the filament.
Click here for "(SMX-6010) Replacing the Filament".

443: Indicates that excessive current flowed to the filament transformer in the system. This may be due to insulation breakdown.
454: Indicates that excessive current flowed to the grid transformer in the system. This may be due to insulation breakdown.
→X-ray emission is possible even when these errors are displayed.
However, due to the risks described on the left, consider an overhaul of the system.

557: Indicates that the specified current is not flowing to Y-deflection coil of the lens. This may be due to reasons such as disconnection.
558: Indicates that the specified current is not flowing to X-deflection coil of the lens. This may be due to reasons such as disconnection.
559: Indicates that the focus coil of the lens has deteriorated.
→Check for disconnection of the lens cable.
X-ray emission is possible even when these errors are displayed.
However, due to the risks described on the left, consider an overhaul.

602: An instrument error occurred.

605: Indicates that the vacuum sensor is not connected to the control. Check when communication from PC starts.
→Check the connections of the vacuum gauge cable and the vacuum cable connector to the control ASSY, and press the [RESET] button on the panel unit toreset the status display.

668: Indicates that the lens temperature exceeds the allowable temperature.
→Wait for approximately 30 minutes. After that, press the [RESET] button to reset the status display.

669: Indicates a disconnection or failure of the temperature sensor that monitors the lens temperature.
→Check for disconnection of the lens cable.
After that, press the [RESET] button to reset the status display.

678: Indicates overheating of thetransistor that controls the lens current.
→Wait for approximately 1 minute. After that, press the [RESET] button to reset the status display.

679: Indicates a disconnection or failure of the temperature sensor that monitors the transistor temperature.
→Wait for approximately 1 minute. After that, press the [RESET] button to reset the status display.
If the error is not cleared after pressing the [RESET] button, an instrument error has occurred.

720: Indicates overheating of the top temperature of the tank.
788: Indicates overheating of the tank in the system.
789: Indicates a disconnection or failure of the temperature sensor that monitors the tank temperature.
796: Indicates a failure in the circuit that monitors runaway of the MPU that performs control of the X-ray generator.
797: Indicates a faulty circuit in the auxiliary interlock switch.
798: Indicates that current does not flow even when X-ray lamp is turned ON.
This may be due to a broken lamp or disconnection.
799: Indicates a failure of the circuit that blocks the supply of high-voltage power when an error occurs.
→Turn OFF the power breaker of the system and stop using the system.

No display: Indicates runaway of the MPU that performs control of the X-ray generator.
→Turn OFF the power breaker of the system, and wait approximately 5 seconds before turning it back ON again.
