Answer

1. Removing condensate in the pressure regulator
The air supplied by a compressor contains moisture, dust and oil.
The pressure regulator contains a pressure regulator equipped with a filter that traps dust containing particles of 5 μm or larger and moisture; trapped dust and moisture are collected in a bowl located under the pressure regulator.
When the bowl becomes fouled considerably, clean the bowl.
When only the condensate is to be removed, exhaust the internal liquid by loosing the screw located at the bottom of bowl of the pressure regulator.
When the cleaning of bowl is required, rotate the bowl of filter in front of pressure regulator counterclockwise, and remove the bowl.

2. Cleaning of the measuring chamber
Samples are collected using a dust collector, but it is impossible to completely eliminate adhesion to piping and scattering of particles in the measurement chamber. Check periodically that particles are not scattered in the measuring chamber. If particles are scattered inside the measuring unit or in the measuring chamber, please clean it.
Drop the specimen attached to the sampling unit by using a brush or the like so as not to scatter.
CAUTION: Take care not to foul or damage the optical elements (the lens and filter) when cleaning. When cleaning the sample feeder, please do not blow off the sample with a blower or the like. If a scattered sample enters the inside of the equipment, there is a case
that the movable part breaks. Using a brush or the like, please drop the sample so that it does not splash.

3. Cleaning of the dispersion device
The maximum diameter of the sample through the ejector is 2.5 mm or 3 mm in diameter. When large particles outside the measurement range are mixed in the sample, particle blockage may occur in the disperser. In addition, clogging may occur even for samples with strong adhesion.
In order to avoid these problems, please perform periodic cleaning of the ejector and nozzle.

4. Cleaning of the dust collector
If the filter of the dust collector causes clogging, the degree of vacuum will be poor, causing particles to scatter inside the measuring chamber.
Also, it may cause the temperature rise of the motor inside the dust collector and breakdown of the dust collector.
In order to avoid these things, please clean regularly according to the usage situation of the dust collector. For specific procedures, refer to the instruction manual of each dust collector.
