Category :

Answer

The performance check of hardware can be performed on the "Diag & Adjust Screen".
If there is problem, contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

1. Check of Photosensor and Photometry System
Prepare the cell as follows before performing this check.
  • Flow Cell with Sampler: Fill the cell with the pure water.
  • Batch Cell: Fill the cell with the pure water.
  • High Concentration Cell: Remove the filter and attach the cell holder.
  • Injection Type Dry Measurement Unit: Attach a dry powder measurement unit.
  • Free-Fall Type Dry Measurement Unit: Attach a dry powder measurement unit.
  • Cyclone Injection Type Dry Measurement Unit:  Attach a dry powder measurement unit.
  1) Select the [Measurement]-[Diagnosis & Adjustment...].

  2) Display the [Diagnosis & Adjustment] detected data ((Raw signal)-(Background signal)) on screen. Check the "maximum value" displayed on the photosensor output graph.
It is normal if the "maximum value" is not over the value of refer to table.

Device Name: Normal Range of photosensor output maximum value
    SALD-2200: 700 or less
    SALD-2300: 10000 or less
    SALD-3100: 700 or less
    SALD-7100: 700 or less
    SALD-7500nano: 10000 or less
    SALD-200V ER: 700 or less
    SALD-300V: 700 or less

2. Offset Check of Amplifier System
  2) Click [Options...].

  3) Select [(Raw Signal) - 0], and click [OK].

  4) Turn off the laser. If there are no gaps (where data is zero) in the entire photosensor display when the laser is turned off, the amp offset values are normal.

3. Check of Measuring Unit
  Select the [Measurement]-[Diagnosis & Adjustment...].
  • When the [Meas Unit Check] is selected, the following display appears.
This option activates the CPU board ROM check (sum check) and RAM read/write test in the measuring unit and reports the results.

  • When the [Meas Unit Status] is selected, the following display appears.
Do the operation check ([Laser ON/OFF], [Door Open/Close]).
