(FTIR) The Baseline Fluctuates

(FTIR) The Baseline Fluctuates
Category :

Answer

In the measurement frequency range of the FTIR, there is a region in which water vapor and carbon dioxide are absorbed. The baseline
fluctuates due to fluctuations in the concentration of water vapor and carbon dioxide inside the sample compartment during BKG
measurement and sample measurement.
Because light intensity is low near 350cm-1, the fluctuation is noticeable.
