(PPSQ) Disposing of Waste Liquid

(PPSQ) Disposing of Waste Liquid
Category :

Answer

As sample analysis is repeated, the amount of liquid in the waste bottle increases.
Occasionally check the amount of liquid in the waste bottle and dispose of it before the bottle becomes full.

CAUTION:
• If the waste bottle becomes full, resistance may occur in liquid delivery and an error may occur.
• The waste liquid is a mixture of organic solvents, acids, alkalis, and is handled as a hazardous substance. Do not dispose of the waste liquid directly into a drain outlet. Be sure to store it in a separate container before disposing of it at a later stage. Consider the corrosion resistance of the container used for storage. Also, it must be clearly indicated that the content is deleterious.

1. Hold the cap of the waste bottle with one hand and turn it from left to right to loosen it (1).
2. Push the cap up until it makes contact with the surface above (2).
(The cap is held in this position.)
3. Remove the waste bottle and dispose of the waste liquid.
4. Pour approximately 100 mL of water into the waste bottle and then return it to the original position.
5. Pull the cap down onto the waste bottle.
6. Turn the cap from right to left and securely tighten it to the mouth of the waste bottle.
