Answer

When the focus is adjusted with the microscope, and the indenter is rotated by the turret in preparation for testing, the indenter height will need to be adjusted if the indenter touches the sample, or the tip of the indenter does not reach the sample. Adjust the height as "Adjusting the Diamond Indenter Attachment," contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
