Answer

Cause1: Bubbles adhering to the cell
Corrective Action1: Clean the cell using the same type of solvent.

Cause2: Defect adjustment of a photo sensor
Corrective Action2: Execute a photo sensor centering and adjustment
Click here for "(SALD) Check the Optical Axis".

Cause3: Safety equipment faulty
Corrective Action3: Check the D1 - D4 values in the [Diagnosis & Adjustment] display screen. If these values are single-digit, this indicates a safety device fault.
Contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

Cause4: OP amp faulty
Corrective Action4: Check the photo sensor output in the [Diagnosis & Adjustment] display screen. An interrupted graph or one with an abnormal peak indicates an OP amp fault.
Contact your Shimadzu representative.

Cause5: Deterioration in laser diode
Corrective Action5: Check the (LC) values in the [Diagnosis & Adjustment] raw signal (Raw signal – Background signal) display screen. If there is a 30% difference or more between current values and those at installation time, the diode has probably deteriorated.
