Cause 1: Carrier gas flows?
Action 1: If carrier gas is not flowing, please let the carrier gas flow.
Cause 2: Carrier gas leaks.
Action 2: Tighten any leaking connections. Click here for Checking for Leaks.
Cause 3: Proper column installation.
Action 3: Install the column correctly.
Cause 4: Temperature of column, injection port or interface has dropped.
Action 4: Increase the temperature of each heated zone to the appropriate value.
Cause 5: Appropriate column selection.
Action 5: Change to an appropriate column (check column polarity, etc.).
Cause 6: Split ratio too large.
Action 6: Decrease split ratio.
Cause 7: Sample concentration or injection amount too low.
