Removing the DL from the Instrument
Answer
1. Unlock and remove the ionization unit(1).
If using APCI or DUIS, remove the needle unit too.
If using APCI or DUIS, remove the needle unit too.
2. Loosen the two screws(2) with the hexagon wrench provided as an accessory.

3. Insert the drawing tool(3) provided as an accessory under the heated block and remove the heater flange(4).

4. Disconnect the connector(5).
Press in the catches on the connector as you remove it.
5. Loosen the two DL locking screws(6) with the hexagon wrench provided as an accessory.
Turn the hexagon wrench about three turns.
Press in the catches on the connector as you remove it.
5. Loosen the two DL locking screws(6) with the hexagon wrench provided as an accessory.
Turn the hexagon wrench about three turns.
6. Turn the notched section(7) to the direction in which the DL is to be removed, then draw it out.

HINT: The triple inlet turbo molecular pump changes to standby mode when the DL is removed.
The pump returns to normal mode about 3 minutes after mounting the DL (connector(5)).
