The S/N ratio can be calculated for each compound. The S/N ratio is quantitatively calculated in accordance with the noise conditions parameters in the method.
1.Open the data file in the [MS Data Analysis] window in the [Postrun Analysis] program.
2.Create a compound table. Proceed to the next step if the table is already made.
HINT: For instructions on creating a compound table, refer to “Compound Table” in the LabSolutions LCMS Instruction Manual.
3. Right-click the [Compound] tab in the [Results View] at the bottom of the window. On the menu displayed, click [Table Style].
4. In the [Table Style] sub-window, select [S/N Ratio], [Noise], [Noise Start Time], and [Noise End Time] in the [Hide Items] area, and click [Add]. Clicking [OK] adds these items as columns to the compound table.
5. In [Method View], click [Edit], and click the [Integration] tab.
6. To calculate the S/N ratio for a compound, click the compound, and in the right pane, select [Yes] in the [Individual Setting] area.
7. Click [Noise/Drift Calculation].
8. In the [Noise/Drift Calculation Settings] sub-window, select [Calculation Method], and set the segment for the noise calculation.
9. Repeat the calculation parameter settings for each compound.
10. In [Method View], click [View]. Quantitative peak integration is performed automatically.
11. In [Results View], click the [Compound] tab, and check the S/N ratio.
12. On the [File] menu, click [Save Data File As]. Enter the file name, and save the data file.
13. On the [MS Data Analysis] assistant bar, click the [Apply to Method] icon. Specify the method file used during measurement. The compound table and quantitative processing parameters are copied to the method file. Alternatively, on the [File] menu, click [Save Method As]. Specify an existing method file. The compound table is copied to this method file.
If a new method file name is entered, the compound table and all method parameters are copied to this method file.
HINT: To calculate the noise and drift using shared parameters, at step 6, change the separate settings for each compound to [No (Use Default)], in the left pane, change the [Default] settings details, and then perform the subsequent operations.
