(LCMS) Executing a QA/QC and System Check before Acquiring Data, and Stopping a Realtime Batch if the Checks Fail

Answer

Use the following procedure to specify performing a QA/QC or system check before realtime batch acquisition and stopping the acquisition if a fail result occurs.

1. In the [Realtime Analysis] program, click the [Realtime Batch] icon on the [Main] assistant bar. Right-click on the batch table and click [Table Style] on the right-click menu. On the [Item Settings] tab page, select [Action] from among items to be hidden, and click [Add]. (If an action is already specified in the [Display Items] field, then click [OK].) An [Action] column is added to the batch table.

2. Click the [Action] cell for the sample row where an action is to be specified. When the [Parameter] sub-window is displayed, specify [Test], [Result], [Action], and [Parameter] settings. Then click [OK] to close the sub-window. For example, configure settings as shown below to execute [QA/QC (All)], stop the realtime batch acquisition if a fail result occurs, and then also cancel the next batch waiting in standby.

3. On the [Realtime Batch] assistant bar, click the [Start Realtime Batch] icon to process the batch.
