(EDX) Analysis of samples containing many elements that cannot be detected by EDX

What is the best way to calculate quantitative values for samples such as resins that contain many elements that cannot be detected with the EDX?

Answer

In quantitative calculations utilizing the FP method, if the samples contains elements that cannot be detected with the EDX (C (carbon), H (hydrogen), O (oxygen) etc.), perform the following for quantitative calculation:
• Fixed value entry
(In advance, find the quantities of components that cannot be measured with the EDX)
• Balance setting (Remainder from 100 %)
(Note) The balance cannot be set for multiple components.
