NIST Library
If I use hydrogen or nitrogen as a carrier gas for GCMS, can I still use existing mass spectral libraries such as the NIST library?

Answer
[Hydrogen]
Existing mass spectral libraries can be used. However, it has been reported that some compounds may change the ratio of ions.
[Nitrogen]
[Nitrogen]
Existing mass spectral libraries can be used. You will get the same mass spectral patterns as for helium.
May I have your opinion?
