Sensitivity variation by changing carrier gas
How much will the sensitivity change if the carrier gas is switched from helium?
- Category :
Answer
[GC]
Although the sensitivity depends on the detector, some can achieve comparable sensitivity with helium carriers and hydrogen or nitrogen carriers. Also check out the application news below.
[GCMS]
Depending on the compound, the sensitivity decreases about 1/5 for hydrogen carriers and 1/10 for nitrogen carriers.
