(LC) Error Messages (pH monitor)
Category :

Answer

« Error Messages »

8001: PHM: pH sensor error. (FATAL)
The sensor head is not functioning properly.
→If the error persists, turn off the instrument and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

8002: PHM: pH sensor system error (FATAL)
The sensor head is not functioning properly.
→If the error persists, turn off the instrument and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

8003: PHM: pH sensor communication error (FATAL)
Communication with the pH electrode failed.
→If the error persists, turn off the instrument and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

8004: PHM: The pH value exceeded the upper limit (WARNING)
A measured pH value exceeded the upper limit of the warning thresholds.
→Check the mobile phase preparation and the pump concentration settings. You can continue using the instrument without taking action, but it is recommended to check that the column and analysis results will not be affected.

8005: PHM: The pH value is less than the lower limit (WARNING)
A measured pH value is less than the lower limit of the warning thresholds.
→Check the mobile phase preparation and the pump concentration settings. You can continue using the instrument without taking action, but it is recommended to check that the column and analysis results will not be affected.

8006: PHM: Fluid leak was detected (ERROR)
  Leak was detected.
→Check tube connections and electrode connections for leakage from flow lines, and wipe off liquid around the leak sensor.

8007: PHM: The leak sensor is disconnected (FATAL)
Abnormal leak sensor detection value. Leak sensor wires may be broken.
→If the error persists, turn off the instrument and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

8008: PHM: The leak sensor is short-circuited (FATAL)
Abnormal leak sensor detection value. The leak sensor may be short-circuited.
→If the error persists, turn off the instrument and contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

8009: PHM: The instrument is not calibrated (WARNING)
pH electrode calibration has not been done.
  →Calibrate the pH electrode.
Click here for "(LC) Calibrating the pH Electrode"

8010: PHM: The interval time of the calibration is passed (WARNING)
The valid period of the last calibration has expired.
  →Calibrate the pH electrode.
Click here for "(LC) Calibrating the pH Electrode"
8011: PHM: PHM failed to connect to the workstation (ERROR)
During the last operation, the pH monitor judged that communication with the PC was disconnected.
→If the software was working correctly, check for a problem in the LAN interface for communication between the pHM and the PC.

« pH Calibration Errors/Statuses »
0000:  Successfully completed

0001: Invalid potential error
  pH electrode calibration error
→The responsive glass membrane or the junction of the pH electrode may be dirty, or the concentration of the electrolyte may have changed. Perform maintenance on the pH electrode.
Click here for "(LC) Cleaning the pH Electrode".

0002: Sensitivity error
  pH electrode calibration error
→The responsive glass membrane or the junction of the pH electrode may be dirty, or the concentration of the electrolyte may have changed. Perform maintenance on the pH electrode.
Click here for "(LC) Cleaning the pH Electrode".

0006: Temperature calibration error
  pH electrode calibration error

0007: pH calibration point out of range
The pH of a standard solution was outside the pH calibration range.
→Check that the pH settings (the type of calibration solution and the number of calibration points) and the calibration solutions in use match.
Click here for "(LC) Calibrating the pH Electrode"

0008: Stabilization timeout
  Stabilization timeout
→Do calibration from scratch. Alternatively, perform maintenance on the pH electrode.
