(LC) Disassembling and Cleaning the Flow Cell(pH monitor)
Category :

Answer

If rinsing the inside of the flow cell with purified water as described in "Calibrating the pH Electrode (through the pHM-40 Utility)" cannot remove contaminants or air bubbles, disassemble and clean the flow cell.
Click here for "(LC) Calibrating the pH Electrode".

NOTE: Before cleaning the flow cell, be sure to remove the pH electrode according to "Replacing the pH Electrode".
Click here for "(LC) Replacing the pH Electrode".

1. Remove the pH electrode cover, and then remove the cell inlet tube (B) and the cell outlet tube (C) from the flow cell (A).

2. Remove the retaining screw from the flow cell, and then remove the two gaskets (gasket 1 and 2) from the back side.

3. Immerse the removed flow cell, retaining screw, and two gaskets in ultrapure water, and then clean them with an ultrasonic bath for 5 minutes.

4. Wipe and dry them thoroughly, and install gasket 1 and then gasket 2 to the retaining screw.

5. Install the retaining screw to the flow cell, and then connect the tubes.
NOTE: Take care not to install the cell inlet tube and the cell outlet tube incorrectly.
