(LC) Cleaning the pH Electrode

(LC) Cleaning the pH Electrode
Category :

Answer

• pH electrode rinse solution, 250
This is a rinse solution for the pH measurement electrode. This is used for washing off contamination from protein samples.
• pH electrode rinse solution, 220
This is a rinse solution for the pH measurement electrode. This is used for washing off contamination from inorganic samples and rinsing the liquid junction part.

A contaminated pH electrode may result in a reduced response speed and sensitivity as well as measurement errors.
If cleaning the pH electrode with purified water cannot remove contaminants or air bubbles, remove the pH electrode from the instrument according to "Replacing the pH Electrode", and then clean it.
Click here for "(LC) Replacing the pH Electrode".
If the pH electrode is too contaminated to rinse the contaminants off with purified water/ion-exchange water, clean the pH electrode according to the instruction manual included with the pH electrode.
Maintain the pH electrode performance by replacing the internal reference solution every one to two months. Remove the pH electrode according to "Replacing the pH Electrode", then replace the internal reference solution according to "Refilling the pH Electrode with Internal Reference Solution" and the instruction manual included with the pH electrode.
Click here for "(LC) Refilling the pH Electrode with Internal Reference Solution".
