(LCMS) Sorting the Compounds in a Compound Table According to Retention Time

(LCMS) Sorting the Compounds in a Compound Table According to Retention Time
Category :

Answer

Sometimes compounds in compound tables are not listed in order of retention time, such as after a new row is added. If so, they can be automatically resorted in order of retention time.

HINT: If peaks were already integrated, sorting compound table compounds will clear peak integration results.
Therefore, if the compounds are sorted, perform peak integration again.

1. Open the data file in the [MS Data Acquisition] window.
2. Click [Edit] in [Method View] to activate the edit mode. Display the [Compound] tab page.
3. Right-click on the compound table and then click [Sort by Retention Time] on the menu. The compound table is sorted in order of retention time.
4. Save the data file by overwriting. The compound table created above is registered in the data file.
Also save the method file by overwriting and creating a new file, so that it can be used for batch processes and for creating a calibration curve.
