Answer
When scanning samples with large amounts of contaminants, high noise levels can make it difficult to view corresponding mass spectra.
Therefore, when spectra are displayed in a window or included in a report, an intensity threshold value can be specified to hide ion peaks with lower intensity, so that only characteristic ion peaks are displayed.
1. In the [Postrun Analysis] program, open the data file in the [MS Data Acquisition] window.
2. Right-click on the [Spectrum View] and then click [MS Data View Parameters] on the menu. The [MS Data View Parameters] sub-window is displayed.
3. On the [Spectrum Format] tab page, select the [Relative Intensity Threshold] checkbox and enter a threshold value. Then click [OK] to only display ion peaks with a relative intensity greater than the setting value.
