(LCMS) Entering Sequential Numbers in Batch Table Cells

(LCMS) Entering Sequential Numbers in Batch Table Cells
Category :

Answer

Sequential numbers can be entered in the [Vial#] column, [Sample Name] column, [Sample ID]] column, and [Data File] column in the batch table.
The example here shows how to name the data files “data001.lcd,” “data002.lcd,” and so on.
1. Enter “data001.lcd” in the first row of the [Data File] column.
2. Right-click this cell, and on the menu, click [Fill Series].
3. File names with sequential numbers are entered in the cells in the second and subsequent rows.

HINT: Select [Fill Down] at step 2) to enter the same content into the cells in the second and subsequent rows.
HINT: There are other ways to enter sequential numbers.
Batch-set continuous number data to each individual column to reduce the trouble of editing Batch Tables.
The following items can be batch-set: [Vial#], [Sample Name], [Sample ID], and [Data File].
Click [Fill Series] or [Fill Down] on the right-click menu on the column of the item to set, and set the desired items in the sub-window that opens.
When one cell is selected, batch-input is performed to rows from the selected cell onwards. Whereas, when multiple cells are selected, batch-input is performed to the selected range.
HINT: The data file name can also be set automatically.
