(LCMS) Changing the Data Acquisition Time during Data Acquisition

(LCMS) Changing the Data Acquisition Time during Data Acquisition
Category :

Answer

When LCMS instrument is used, the data acquisition time set in the method can be changed during data acquisition.
On the [Acquisition] menu in the [Data Acquisition] window, click [Change Acquisition Time].
Set the preferred time in increments of minutes, and click [OK].

CAUTION:
If the LCMS data acquisition time is extended, only events set until the time that data acquisition finishes are extended. Events are not extended if they finish before the time that data acquisition finishes.

It may not be possible to change the data acquisition time depending on the instrument. In this case, [Change Acquisition Time] is not available on the [Acquisition] menu.

• Acquisition Time: The acquisition time of each detector can be changed.
In the case of MS instruments, the data acquisition time cannot be shortened.
When the instrument is the LCMS-8030/8040/8045/8050/8060(NX), the end time of the last event (event that will end last) is extended, and all events having the same end time will be extended.
• Apply to Method File: When this checkbox is selected, the acquisition time that you set is reflected in the method file.
When this chekbox is selected, Even when displayed [Failed to change the end time of data acquisition]in [Output]window , the changed time is overwrited to the file.
In the case of MS instruments, this checkbox is automatically selected and cannot be changed.
