(LCMS) Stopping the Instrument Automatically after Data Acquisition is Finished

(LCMS) Stopping the Instrument Automatically after Data Acquisition is Finished
Category :

Answer

The shutdown function is used to stop the instrument automatically after data acquisition is finished.
There are two ways to use the shutdown function.
To shut down the instrument automatically if no data is acquired within a set time after a realtime batch is finished, refer to Automatically Shutting Down the System if No Data is Acquired for a Certain Time after Realtime Batch Acquisition is Finished (Ecology Mode).

« Shutdown Button on the Toolbar »
Clicking the following button on the toolbar opens the [Shutdown] Tab Page.
Configuring the settings from the shutdown button on the toolbar during data acquisition automatically adds a shutdown row to the final row of the batch queue, so the instrument shuts down when data acquisition is finished.
Configuring the settings from this button when data is not being acquired shuts down the instrument immediately except if the date and time are specified.

« Shutdown Tab Page for Batch Settings »
Preset the shutdown using the batch settings to shut down the instrument automatically after data acquisition finishes.
For details on shutdown, refer to [Shutdown] Tab Page.

« Shutdown Sequence »
Operations during shutdown are as follows.
1. Starts when the date and time of execution are reached.
2. Downloads the shutdown method to the instrument if a shutdown method has been specified.
3. Stands by for the cooldown.
HINT: If a method with a low LC pump flowrate (up to 0.1mL/min) and no column oven temperature regulation is used as the shutdown method, the temperature can be lowered slowly without harming the column.
4. Turns OFF the units in accordance with the settings for each unit.
