1. Attaching the Specimen

CAUTION: Make sure the specimen does not hit the lower grip during jog operations.

  1) Insert the specimen at the center of the grip faces.
  2) Turn the opening closing handle to hold the specimen Tighten securely with both hands

    

  3) Use jog operations to insert the specimen between the lower grip faces.
  4) Press [FORCE] to reset the test force to zero

    

  5) Turn t he opening closing handle to hold the specimen Tighten securely with both hands

    

 

2. Eliminate Any Initial Test Forces

  Eliminate any initial test forces that occurred when the lower grips were tightened.
