Alarm Code 22: Soft Limit ALM
Description: A software limit was triggered.
Corrective Measures: Confirm the software limit settings and whether they are enabled or disabled. If the settings are set properly, then use the system within the setting limits.
Alarm Code 23: Out of Control
Description: Stroke speed exceeded 500 mm/min during automatic contr ol mode, or the required automatic control parameter was determined incorrectly.
Corrective Measures: Confirm whether the specimen was attached properly to the jig. Also, if the initial speed is too high, a sudden increase in test force can cause the contr ol system to stop the test. Reduce the initial speed.
Click here for "(EZ-Test) Attaching Specimens (Bending Test)".
Alarm Code 24: Touch Load ALM
Description: The contact load function was activated.
Corrective Measures: An obstruction was detected while the crosshead is being returned or is in jog operations. Do not touch the load cell or jig during return or jog operations.
Alarm Code 30: CalCable Err. (Read)
Description: Failed to read data from the calibration cable.
Corrective Measures: Confirm whether the calibration cable is connected correctly to the EZ-X unit . Also, switch the EZ-X power OFF and switch it ON again after about 10 seconds.
Alarm Code 31: CalCable Err. (Write)
Description: Failed to save data to the calibration cable.
Corrective Measures: Confirm whether the calibration cable is connected correctly to the EZ-X unit. Also, switch the EZ-X power OFF and switch it ON again after about 10 seconds.
Alarm Code 33: AutoZero Err.
Description: Auto zero of test force or sensor input failed.
Corrective Measures: Confirm whether the load cell cable and sensor input cables are connected correctly to the EZ-X unit. The range within which sensor data can be auto zeroed differs depending on the sensor type, but generally is within ±20% of full scale. If it exceeds this range, decrease the sensor input.
Alarm Code 34: F-CAL Err.
Description: Calibration of measured test force failed.
Corrective Measures: Confirm whether the load direction (tension/compression) is correct. Also, confirm whet her the correct load cell capacity is registered in the calibration cable. Confirm whether there was an error in the F-CAL procedure as well. If the error continues after repeated attempts, it could be a hardware failure. Contact
a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
Alarm Code 35: E-CAL Make Err.
