Answer

If the Indentation shape is abnormal as shown in below, the indenter mounting part may be defective. Replace the defective part with a new one. For replacement, contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
 
When a sample surface is not horizontally mounted, the indentation shape also becomes abnormal as shown in below. Make sure that the sample stage is leveled. Then, indent a reference sample, and check the indentation shape.
