Answer

This adjustment determines the position of the cross-hair displayed in the image window during testing. In Automatic Detection mode, the search for indentations will begin from the cross-hair position.
Adjust the position in the following case:
• The cross-hair is not positioned within the indentation displayed in the window after loading (indentation) is finished and the turret has been switched over.

1. Start the instrument, and test by [Test] apprication to create an indentation in a hardness standard piece or another sample. Select the test force that produces the largest indentation that still fits within the window border. Be careful not to change the sample position until the remaining adjustments are finished.
2. Without changing the sample position, end the [Test] apprication and return to the main menu.
3. On the main menu, click [File] - [Maintenance] to display the [Maintenance Menu] window. Then click [Image center Adjustment]. The [Image center Adjustment] window will be displayed.

4. Click the center of the indentation image. The cross-hair will move to the clicked position.
Selection of indenter: Choose the indenter which carries out the image center adjustment from [Indenter 1] and [Indenter 2].
[Save]button: Saves the current cursor position.
[Set Default]button: Moves the cursor to the center of the image window.
5. When the adjustment is complete, close the [Image center Adjustment] window and return to the [Maintenance Menu] window.
