Answer

Before performing magnification and image center adjustments, adjust the camera's attachment position until the image observed through the tester's eyepiece and the image observed on the PC display are matched in terms of their positioning, orientation, and focal point position.

1. Place a hardness standard piece or other sample on the sample stage and focus on the sample surface. To ensure that the camera is focused on this focal point position, do not move the Z stage from this position.
2. Perform a test at an appropriate test force, creating an indentation in the sample surface for use as a position adjustment mark.
3. Remove the top cover.
4. In the menu window, click [Maintenance] to display the [Maintenance Menu] window.
5. Click [Image center Adjustment] to open the [Image center Adjustment] window and show the camera image on the PC display.

6. Loosen the setscrew fastening the camera's focal point adjuster. Turn the camera's focal point adjuster to focus the image on the display. Then re-fasten the focal point adjuster using the setscrew.

7. Loosen the two screws fastening the camera assembly. Holding the camera fastening base, adjust the camera assembly position until the indentation created in step 2) is centered in the display.

8. Use the two camera assembly fastening screws to fasten the camera assembly.
9. If focus to blur, refocus the image as per section 8.
