Problem1: The program does not start up.

Cause1: Part of the program was deleted, or the folder was changed.

Solution1: Reinstall the program.

 

 

Problem2: The initialization of the X-Y stage does not complete.

Cause2-1: The grease on the motorized micrometer is hardened due to long disuse.

Solution2-2: Soften the hardened grease and apply it evenly.

Cause2-2: Although the grease is not hardened, a step-out has occurred on the motor of the micrometer.

Solution2-2: Replace the motorized micrometer. Contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

 

Cause2-3: The motorized micrometer is not energized. (The knob is as tight as in the power-off status.)

Solution2-3: Replace the motor driver. Contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

 

 

Problem3: A stage connection error occurs.

Cause3: The cable is disconnected or almost disconnected.

Solution3: Confirm the cable connection.

 

Problem4: The stage does not move towards indicated directions.

Cause4-1: The stage has reached the limit of its movable range.

Solution4-1: Modify the sample position so that the testing position is located within the movable range.

 

Cause4-2: The power to the controller BOX was turned OFF.
Solution4-2: Turn ON the power.

 

Cause4-3: The cable is disconnected or almost disconnected.
Solution4-3: Confirm the cable connection.

 

 

Problem5: An alarm was displayed on the software window.

Cause5: The emergency stop button was pressed.

Solution5: Confirm that there is no abnormality on the instrument and its vicinity, and release the emergency stop button.
