(TOC) Setting the Display Units and Measurement Value Alarms (TOC-1000e)

(TOC) Setting the Display Units and Measurement Value Alarms (TOC-1000e)
Category :

Answer

Set the units to be used for measurement results.
You can set a threshold for each measurement item. When a measurement value exceeds the threshold, the instrument outputs a measurement value alarm.
NOTE: When [User Authentication] on the [System Policy] screen is “Enabled,” the following operations are only available to an Administrator or a Main user level user. These operations are not available to User or Guest level users.

For calibration and validation functions, however, the display units are fixed to ppb for TOC, μS/cm C for conductivity, and ˚C for temperature, and cannot be changed.

1. Press  - [Settings].

2. Press [Meas. Items & Alarm].

• Setting the Display Unit and Measurement Value Alarm for TOC
3. Press [TOC].

  The settings screen appears.
Set the display unit and measurement value alarm for TOC.
(1) [Unit Setting]: Set the display unit for TOC. Select [μg/L].
NOTE: Calibration/Validation results will be in ppb regardless of the selection here.
(2) [Upper Limit]: Set the upper limit for the measurement value alarm. An alarm is triggered when a measurement value exceeds this limit.
Use the checkbox to switch between Disable and Enable.
When the setting is enabled, you can enter a value in the input field.
(3) [Ext. Upper Limit]: Set the extended upper limit for the measurement value alarm.
An alarm is triggered when a measurement value exceeds this limit.
Set a value greater than the upper limit value.
Use the checkbox to switch between Disable and Enable.
When the setting is enabled, you can enter a value in the input field.
(4) [Apply]: Press this button to confirm the settings.
(5) [Cancel]: Press this button to discard any changes made to the settings.

• Setting the Display Unit and Measurement Value Alarm for Conductivity or Resistivity
3. Press [Cond./Resist.].

  The settings screen appears.
Set the display unit and measurement value alarm for conductivity or resistivity.
On this screen, the [Alarm Setting] details change according to the other settings.
• The followig is the time of [Unit Setting] is [μS/cm (Cond.)] and [USP] is disabled
(1) [Unit Setting]: Set the display unit for conductivity or resistivity. Select [μS/cm (Cond.)], [μS/cm C (Cond.)], or [MW-cm (Resist.)].
  • mS/cm (Cond.): Conductivity value without temperature compensation
  • mS/cm C (Cond.): Conductivity value calculated with 25 °C temperature compensation
  • MΩ-cm (Resist.): Resistivity value calculated with 25 °C temperature compensation
NOTE: Calibration/Validation results will be provided with suitable units for each item regardless of the selection here.
(4) [USP]: Set whether or not to use the alarm values conforming to USP 645 Stage 1.
Use the checkbox to switch between Disable and Enable.
The [Alarm Setting] selection changes when this is enabled.
(5) [Apply]: Press this button to confirm the settings.
(6) [Cancel]: Press this button to discard any changes made to the settings.

• Setting the Display Unit for Temperature
3. Press [Temp.].

  The settings screen appears.
Set the display unit for temperature.
(1) [Unit Setting]: Set the display unit for temperature. Select [°C] or [°F].
  • °C: Celsius temperature
  • °F: Fahrenheit temperature
NOTE: Calibration/Validation results will be in °C regardless of the selection here.
(2) [Apply]: Press this button to confirm the settings.
(3) [Cancel]: Press this button to discard any changes made to the settings.
