Answer

1. S witch the select valve to SMPL without any pipe connected to SMPL.
2. Turn on the power switch and press the MEAS key. Then adjust the needle valve until the indication of flow meter become 1.0L/min
  (100~400mL/min on the occasion of low flow type )
3. Shut the sample gas inlet SMPL )), make sure there is not any indication drift of flow
4. S witch the select valve to STD, make sure the indication of flow meter can reach 1.0L/min
  (100~400mL/min on the occasion of low flow type ) *2
5. Shut the sta n dard gas inlet STD )), make sure there is not any indication drift of flow
6. Shut the exhaust outlet ( strongly make sure there is not any indication drift of flow meter.
*1 If there is any abnormality during the procedure, shut down the instrument and ccontact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
*2 If the standard flow rate is not 1.0L/min, perform the above proc edure by using the customized flow rate.
  About 10% decreasing of flow rate is allowable in procedure step 4. and step 6.
*3 If the warning label (P/N631 85429) unstuck from the instrument, contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative to order a new one and paste it to the correct location.
 
NOTE: It may be difficult to detect a minor leakage by this easy procedure. Much more reliable gas leak checking is performed during periodic inspection/maintenance, please contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
  Please perform thorough ventilation when using the analyzer.
