(EDX) Mylar film and "Mg" analysis
I have analyzed Mg(magnesium) in vegetation, but sufficient X-ray intensity was not obtained. For this analysis, a powder sample was placed in a sample container lined with a Mylar film. Is there any way to improve the intensity?
Answer
If a Mylar film is used, the Mg intensity will be significantly reduced.
Either use a polypropylene film or a pressure molded briquette.
