(EDX) Quantitative calculation of FP method
With the FP method, how are quantitative values calculated?
Answer
With the X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, if the composition (elements and content) of the sample is known, X-ray fluorescence intensities can be calculated theoretically using measurement conditions and fundamental parameters (physical constants), based on the basic principles of fluorescent X-ray generation.
With the FP method, this theoretical intensity calculationis used to obtain the compositionfrom the measured intensity.
