Contamination of the orifice will cause adsorption of the sample and/or inhibition of ionization.
«Confirmation»
Overall decrease in sensitivity. In case of blockage due to foreign body, confirm the PG degree of vacuum.When PG value decreases, and if the symptom is not improved by replacing the DL, blockage of the orifice will occur.
«Corrective Actions»
After removing the orifice, clean and polish its tip using approximately 4-micron lapping film and then perform ultrasonic cleaning.
