Contamination of ionization unit of the ESI probe will cause a decrease in ionization efficiency and/or deterioration of the spray state due to adhesion of a foreign body.

Check the status of the tip of the ESI probe and that there are no foreign bodies around the nozzle, and then wipe the entire probe for cleaning.Also check that the projection length of the ESI pipe is appropriate.
