CAUTION: Take sufficient care while handling the nebulizer
• Never touch the IN tubing fitting section (B) of the nebulizer.
• Replace the nebulizer if it is faulty.
1. Remove the IN tube fitting (black) (A) of the nebulizer from the mobile phase line.
2. Remove the gas IN tubing (D) from the nebulizer.
3. Turn the 30-mm nut (C) of the nebulizer to remove the nebulizer from the glass tube.
4. Remove the 30-mm nut and the seal fitted to the nebulizer from the nebulizer.
1. Pour a rinse solution into a 50- or 100-mL beaker up to about a 1-cm level.
NOTE: Select the rinse solution to use according to the substances present in the nebulizer. The rinse solutions most frequently used are ethanol and 2-propanol.
2. To prevent damage to the gas inlet fitting due to the rinse solution, remove the gas inlet fitting.
3 Place the nebulizer vertically in the beaker. Face the IN tubing of the nebulizer upward.
CAUTION: Do NOT allow the nebulizer inlet tubing to come in contact with the rinse solution. Doing so may cause leakage from a connection.
4. Ultrasonically clean the nebulizer for about 30 minutes.
5. Change the rinse solution for water and then ultrasonically clean the nebulizer for another 30 minutes.
1. Fit the gas inlet fitting.
2. Fit the gas IN tubing.
3. Install the nebulizer to the glass tube.
4. Open the gas valve an turn on the delivery pump. And then, check that no connection leaks.
NOTE: When installing the front cover, first fit the right side of the front cover in place and then push the left side of the front cover.
